The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to receive an upcoming patch on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This new patch aims to fix some of big issues including a bug that stops experience points after completing quests, and another game breaking save bug that can render player’s progress useless.
CD Project Red’s Community Manager Marcin Mormot confirmed that they were working on a fix for the XP glitch, which results in players getting zero experience after completing any of the in-game quest. He assured that a fix should be out next week, along with a patch for PC on Monday.
We would like to let everyone know that we are aware of the XP glitch players are reporting and we are working to have it fixed as soon as possible across all platforms (Monday for PC & patch 1.04 on consoles in the following days).
At the same time we want to shed some light on the issue. First of all, it doesn’t impact the game balance in any significant way. Also, you will be able to finish the game with your character achieving a level within the threshold we had in mind when we designed the game.
We hope this clears things up a bit. Again, rest assured, we won’t stop working on improving the game and there are more patches coming in the near future.
In other news, the latest patch is now live on the Xbox One, after going live on PS4 yesterday.
Patch 1.03 should be available for XBOX users today. Sorry for the wait!
