The Witcher 3 Patch 1.07 Reportedly Affects Performance On PS4 and Xbox One

CD Project Red has released a brand new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS4 and Xbox One. According to an analysis of this new patch by Digital Foundry, it apparently negatively affects the performance of the game on both consoles, even though CD Project Red had stated the exact opposite.

Digital Foundry has published their analysis of the latest patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the PS4 and Xbox One, and according to their analysis, the performance of the game has actually dropped with the latest update applied. This is contrary to what CD Project Red stated for the PS4 version of the game, which was supposed to get an improved performance with the latest patch.

You can check out a comparison between Patch 1.05 and Patch 1.07 in the video below.

The video confirms that the game has fps drops to the lower 20s on both, PS4 and Xbox One. This is the result of double buffered Vsync, which was only an issue on the PS4 but now affects performance on Xbox One as well.

Patch 1.07 still hasn’t been released on the PC yet, as CDPR are currently working on PC specific issues¬†before releasing it. It is unclear if the patch has similar issues on PC, impacting the performance at the cost of new features.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

On the Ps 4, after the 1.07 was installed, i’v noticed that an automatic Vignetting effect was added but there is no option to turn it off…and it’s quite ugly. The option is available on Pc but you can turn it ON or OFF.

Am i the only one that has seen this problem?

Updated the game thinking ..alright, this is gonna be great. It’s choppy, and still glitching. Good game overall, but performance is worsened since update.
