CD Project Red has confirmed that the upcoming update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will improve the game’s performance on the PS4. This news was delivered by Community Lead Marcin Momot on the official forums for The Witcher 3.

“The patch is on the way. Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive – the list of changes is massive, ” said Momot in an update posted on the official forums.

“The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance (as well as other platforms) plus many more. We ask for a bit more patience.”

While there is no confirmed release date of the upcoming update, it is not unreasonable to expect it before the release of the upcoming expansion called Hearts of Stone. This new expansion will offers hours of new gameplay and it is set to release on October 13th.

This “Marcin Momot” character has been telling consumers that things will “improve” for like 6 mega patches lol.
Game still runs at a craptastic 20 frames when it tries to render more than 2 enemies and a candlelight at the same time. Of course he’s gonna say it will be better, they want to sell their new expansion.
Having said that, game is pretty awesome, just not on PS4.

Now when they say performance improvements…do they mean it decreases? Cause the last set of performance improvements they touted ended up actually making the game run worse.
