Witcher 3 Xbox One X vs. PS4 Pro vs. PC Comparison: XBX Visuals Closer To Pro Than PC

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has received an update for the Xbox One X today. This update implements support for the Xbox One X hardware with features like enhanced visuals, 4K resolution support and even a performance mode than runs the game at dynamic 4K resolution while targeting 60 fps.

Since the update is out for a while now, we have a new comparison of the game running on the Xbox One, PC and PS4 Pro. The comparison shows a massive difference in the quality level for the Xbox One X and PC version running at 4K.

One strange omission from the Xbox One X update is the lack of high-resolution textures for the game. These were confirmed to be a part of the update judging from the full patch notes, but the actual update was merely a little over 500 MB in size, which doesn’t really show any high resolution textures were a part of it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also getting HDR support with this new update on the Xbox One X while PS4 Pro users will have to wait until the next year for HDR support for the PS4 Pro. As for the PC version, CD Project Red has stated that they currently have no plan to implement HDR support on PC.

The Witcher 3 is available now for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
