Following the release of the announcement trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite at the PlayStation Experience 2016, the developers have now revealed two new characters that have been confirmed to be in the game’s roster.
This information comes via a new trailer for the game titled the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Extended Gameplay Trailer. In this trailer, Captain America and Morrigan both make their debut alongside the already present Ryu, Mega Man, Captain Marvel and Iron Man.
This announcement hardly comes as a surprise since both Captain America and Morrigan have been present in previous games of the franchise, but it is good to have confirmation since fighting games sometimes switch out characters from their rosters.
The latest entry in the highly popular Marvel vs. Capcom series, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will switch up the fighting game’s formula with the addition of the Infinity Stones. While it has not exactly been explained how the infinity stones will actually work, they will nonetheless allow characters to gain massive power ups by using them.
Two of the stones confirmed to be in the game thus far are the Power Stone (Purple) and the Time Stone (Green).
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set to release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC sometime in 2017.
