In a pretty radical source of news today Cyberpunk 2077 developers CD Projeckt Red revealed today that one-third of all pre-orders for the game are on the GOG Store.
The GOG Store is CD Projekt Red’s own storefront where they sell DRM-free versions of games, competing directly with Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Although Cyberpunk 2077 is available on all three of aforementioned stores, its surprising that such a high number of buyers pre-ordered the game on GOG.com, where usually its Steam where the highest majority of PC players play their games.

Also since GOG is owned by CD Projekt Red themselves, they get all of the revenue, whereas on Steam and the Epic Game Store they share the revenue with the storefront.
PC gamers tend to be very vocal with their thoughts and put their money where they mouth is, such higher pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077 could very well be a message in support for GOG.com against the Epic Games Store and their aggressive foray into the market which has rubbed some fans the wrong way.
