5 Games you must play in August

August is upon us and with Winter slowly creeping in, the blockbuster season is almost here. However these last few Summer months are quite packed with games you must play. Read on for five of the games that we think you must play in August:

Madden NFL 20 [PC, PS4, XBO] – August 2

The latest entry in the long running Madden series is here, so all those American Football fans should be getting their wallets ready for August 2nd. Madden 20 will feature many new additions including a new “Personalized Career Campaign” option called “Face of the Franchise: QB1”. The mode is similar to “The Journey” from the past few FIFA games. Amongst all of the recent controversy in the lootbox sector, with many comparing it similar how to play roulette in casinos, it’ll be interesting to see how EA evolve NFL franchise.

Oninaki [PC, PS4, Switch] – August 22

Square Enix’s Oninaki is an action RPG developed by Lost Sphear and I am Setsuna developers Tokyo RPG Factory. The game follows the adventures of Kagachi, who fulfills his duties as a Watcher moving lost souls to their next life. Oninaki features a gorgeous art style and action packed gameplay that should scratch your ARPG itch.

Control [PC, PS4, XBO] – August 27

Control is famed developed Remedy’s latest game after 2016’s Quantum Break. A multiplatform title, Control centers around the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secret government organization that is responsible for containing and studying the different phenomena that breaks the hold of reality.

Astral Chain [Switch] – August 30

The Platinum Games developed Astral Chain is an action packed adventure from the staff who worked on NieR: Automata, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Set in a future cyberpunk metropolis called the Arc, being called the Chimeras have invaded and its up to the Neuron task force to use living weapons called the Legion to save humanity.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan [PC, PS4, XBO] – August 30

Supermassive Games are back tackling the horror thriller genre after their excellent prior effort Until Dawn with The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. The game follows the story of a group of American tourists who travel to the South Pacific Ocean. However a storm hits and now they’re stuck in a sunken, cursed ghost ship along with its mysterious Captain.
