Majesco Entertainment’s A Boy And His Blob is finally coming to PC, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One later this month. It was released for Wii back in 2009. It was a re-imagining of the original A Boy and His Blob: Trouble in Blobolonia which was released for the NES way back in 1989. Being released only on Wii, the game had a pretty small audience but it was still loved by many.
A Boy and His Blob is a 2D platformer in which you play as a youg boy who can change the size and apprerience of his blob, who is also his companion, by feeding him jelly beans on various occasions. The blob can transform into many useful items like a ladder, a balloon and even a cannon. It’s totally up to you to decide which transformation suits the situation best. You will have to use his transformations to make your way through the land by solving various puzzles. Not only this, there is also a button dedicated to a feature that lets the boy hug his blob.
A Boy and His Blob will be released on January 19 for PC. It will launch on Xbox One after one day, on January 20th. The release date for PS4 however, is not revealed yet. But the game has been rated for PS4 along with PS Vita by PEGI. So it will most likely release shortly after it launches on PC and Xbox One. The game will be a cross buy between PS4 and PS Vita meaning that if you own the game on your PS4, you will be able to play it on your PS Vita too.
