Square Enix has silently released Adventures of Mana for the PS Vita following the outcry of fans who were frustrated over the game launching for the Smartphones but skipping a functional Vita version in the West.
Adventures of Mana is a full remake of the original Final Fantasy Adventure game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This game was also remade for the Game Boy Advance with the title Sword of Mana. This time, Square Enix has remade the game in full 3D in Unity Game Engine and it was released for the PS Vita and Smartphones in Japan earlier this year.
While Square Enix decided to bring the localized version of the game to Smartphones in the West, they never bothered with the PS Vita version, which resulted in a campaign by fans to bring the game to the West. This managed to catch the attention of Square Enix and they have now finally released this game for the PS Vita users in Europe. Judging from the earlier silent releases of Vita games, this might also launch in the US PSN soon after the launch in EU.
Adventures of Mana can be bought for £11.49 from here. The store page also lists the game being compatible for PS Vita TV. It still hasn’t been release on the US PlayStation Store as of yet.
