Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily one of the most anticipated game to release this year. It was originally set to launch in Fall 2017 but was delayed to an unknown time frame in 2018. The game is a sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption and will feature a huge open world Western setting just like its predecessor.
Details about Red Dead Redemption 2 are still murky and the official word on release date is silent ever since the delay announcement. Despite this, online retailers are usually putting a release date of the game which can be either correct or just a simple placeholder date. Red Dead Redemption 2 was recently listed as releasing in July 12 on Amazon Mexico. This doesn’t really confirm an official date for the game, but can potentially point towards a release sometime this Summer since this is the second time a retailer has listed the release for Summer.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will also launch with Red Dead Online, which is an online multiplayer mode in the same vein as GTA Online. This multiplayer mode will be integrated directly into the main game and should be playable just like it was the case with GTA V. The original Red Dead Redemption also offered an online mode but it was playable through a separate menu. Red Dead Redemption 2 will also feature some PS4 exclusive content as the publisher has a marketing deal with Sony.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently announced for the PS4 and Xbox One. It is being developed by Rockstar Games and will be published by Take Two Interactive.
