Anthem was recently rumored to be delayed by some random insider but Bioware was quick to nip the rumor in the bud.
Anthem is one of the most important projects for Bioware because they need to deliver a hit after Mass Effect Andromeda failed badly earlier this generation. It is an ambitious open-world game with multiplayer integration that has been compared to Bungie’s Destiny.
It was announced officially by Sony that they are pulling out of E3 2019, which was a completely unpredictable move. This was actually first posted by someone over at Reddit 24 hours before the announcement was made, but the mods found it absurd and deleted it. Once the news was out, the user who made the rumor was ‘vindicated’ by the Reddit mods and he took this newfound fame to spill a lot of beans, most of which sounded fake which is why you won’t see us reporting on them.
One of the rumors shared by the user was that Anthem will get delayed and the project is a mess. This has been completely debunked by Anthem’s executive producer, Mark Darrah, who subtly confirmed that their release date is set in stone.
Our release date is February 22, 2019.
Same as always

This shows that you should never trust rumors from random so-called insiders. If they get one thing right, it doesn’t mean they have access to more information. The insider who was leaking details on Reddit went on as far as to basically lay out the plans for Sony’s upcoming next-generation console and PlayStation VR, which is ridiculous because it is not possible to know all of this info at this stage unless you work inside R&D department for Sony. This is why we have recommended to always take these rumors with a grain of salt.
Anthem will be available on February 22, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
