The cost of crafting a skin varies according to the rarity of the skins and requires Crafting Metals. Now if you have crafted a skin, again you will have to go to Legends tab to equip it. Select your Legend and then the new skin appears will red dot next to it in the options. Select the skin with ‘X/A’ and equip it with ‘Square/X’ depending on the platform your using.

How to get and equip new weapon Skins in Apex Legends?
The procedure to get and equip new skins for weapons in Apex Legends is almost similar to the method for Legends. Head on to the Armory tab and select the weapon of choice. The skins for it will appear below. Costs are identical to Legend skins costs and there is a requirement of Crafting Metals. New unlocked skins will appear with a red dot when weapon is selected. Scroll down to the skin and select the skin with ‘X/A’ and then equip it with ‘Square/X’ depending on the platform your using.
How to earn Crafting Metals in Apex Legends?
Unfortunately, Crafting Metals are hard to be earned. They can only be earned from Apex Packs which can either be bought with Apex Coins or by leveling up. Moreover, the number of Crafting Metals in box are very few so its safe to say that this process might take some time.
