Apex Legends Mobile: Will the game come to Mobile?

Apex Legends Mobile is something that many fans all over the world want after Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play shooter took over the world when it released earlier this year.

Apex Legends coming to Mobile platforms like iOS and Android would be great news for fans of the game and new players to take the game on the go.

Why Apex Legends on Mobile is important

EA, the company behind the game, are currently looking into ways to make that possible. Competitors Fortnite by Epic Games and PUBG by Bluehole, already have mobile versions so having Apex Legends Mobile must be a priority for them.

Is Apex Legends Mobile in the works?

EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated that “we are looking at how to take the game to mobile and cross-play over time, and I also expect that this game will have tremendous value in Asia, and we’re in conversations about that,”.

With the huge unexpected success of the game, with more than 50 million players playing the game, I’m sure as are many others that a mobile versions is probably already in the works.

There’s certainly a challenge in bringing the game to mobile however. Unlike Fortnite and PUBG, Apex Legends is a much faster game that needs a constant 60fps to properly play. Also the game is based off Valve’s Source Engine, which doesn’t have great mobile porting support. Respawn Entertainment will certainly have a hill to climb upon with porting the game but we’re hopeful that it’ll be done soon.

What are your thoughts? Do you want a mobile version of the game? What platform do you currently play it on? Let us know in the comments below.
