Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey aims to do one thing right that Origins didn’t, give them full options customizing the HUD.
Unlike in Origins which had a few presets, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey will allow players to tweak the HUD much more.
You can turn off the Compass and Objective to get a fully immersive experience.
My first change to the HUD would be to turn of the ‘Fight Damage Numbers’. They never made sense in a Assassin’s Creed game anyway.
Personally I love this, customizable HUDs is something more game developers are making available in their games recently. These settings certainly make the game feel more ‘personal’, allowing gamers to play the way they want.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey releases on PS4, Xbox One and PS4 on October 5, 2018.
