Ubisoft has announced the remaster of Assassin’s Creed Rogue for the PS4 and Xbox One. The game is already available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but it was recently leaked through a retailer listing that a remaster is in development for the PS4 and Xbox One.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue was released in parallel with Assassin’s Creed Unity in 2014. The game followed a more direct approach to Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag instead of the complete change of direction in Assassin’s Creed Unity. It was later released for the PC after the initial PS3 and Xbox 360 release, and this will be the first time the game has made its way to the PS4, while it was backwards compatible on the Xbox One through Xbox 360. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue will support 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One while running at native 1080p on the PS4 and Xbox One. The game also has higher-resolution textures and shadows, improved environmental rendering, and new visual effects to further improve the graphics on the current generation consoles.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is releasing on March 20th for the PS4 and Xbox One. The remastered release will feature all of the post-launch DLC content along with the full game.
