Assassin’s Creed Syndicate to have “100% optional” microtransactions

The development director of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Francois Pelland, has told IGN that the forthcoming Ubisoft title will include paid options to save time and accelerate progress. He added that the microtransactions model for the latest iteration in the series is quite similar to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag.

Through this transaction model, players who don’t have time to fully explore the huge game world will eventually be allowed to acquire the game’s most powerful gear as well as other items. However, for those willing to invest time towards the exploration of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s open world, all of the game’s content will be available without the need to spend any money.

According to Pelland, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has been balanced so that microtransactions are 100% optional.

Rest assured, all of AC Syndicate’s content is available without paying anything additional and the game has been balanced such that microtransactions are 100% optional.

The game is scheduled to arrive in stores on October 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, PC gamers will have to wait a little longer, as the Windows version will be available on November 19.
