ASTRO A50 Wireless Headset Released With An Improved Base Station

ASTRO Gaming has released an upgraded version of the very popular A50 gaming headset, which was released way back in 2012. This new ASTRO A50 Wireless Headset comes with a new Base Station, which is an upgrade to the fragile stand with the initial version.

This new A50 upgraded Headset version works with PC and Mac as well as the PS4 and Xbox One, completely wirelessly. Battery issues have been dealt with, in this version, allowing the headset to operate up to 15 hours continuously. It is like a dream come true for hardcore gamers.


The updated ASTRO A50 Wireless + Base Station has taken gaming to the next level, from its predecessor. The new Base Station features a 5GHz, lag-free, wireless transmitter. It operates as a docking station for the headset. Dolby® Headphone 7.1 surround sound adds to audio finesse of the device, while players can use the built-in MixAmp™ technology and ASTRO Command Center software to tweak the level of each audio.

The new A50 headset, promises a 15-hours battery life along with a standby mode. An accelerometer tries to detect whether the headset is in motion or not, if not then the standby mode is automatically activated.
