Battlefield 1 recently received an update that led fans to a wild easter egg hunt in the game. They have finally managed to solve this new mystery and it has resulted in fans discovering a new teaser for an announcement that is being made on May 23rd.
The announcement is being teased as ‘Never Be The Same’ and all signs points towards the developers announcing the next Battlefield game ahead of their E3 2018 conference.
This easter egg hunt was conducted by the Battlefield subreddit and discord community who have managed to locate the source of the clues hidden in it, leading to them finding a webpage on the official EA website as shown in the image below.
This was revealed as part of the Isolement easter egg hunt that leads to a morse code. Solving it gives the following webpage which says “On May 23, Battlefield will never be the same.”
It remains to be seen what kind of announcement we can expect on this particular date but the early rumors state that this new Battlefield is set in World War 2. There is another rumor that suggests that the new Battlefield is actually Battlefield Bad Company 3. It is entirely possible that we may get two different Battlefield games next since this has happened with Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 1.
