The recent Winter patch caused a bunch of issues to pop up with Battlefield 4 across all consoles including the infamous Hit Registration problem. DICE is actively working on fixing these issues and have released their first fix that could remedy certain issues.
DICE has updated their servers to a 60Hz refresh rate, double from the standard 30Hz. The update is currently active only in the CTE (Community Test Environment) but hopefully the retail game will get it soon after the testing is done.
Previously the Client and Server communicated thirty times per second in Battlefield 4 but now it will be done sixty times per second resulting in a much more accurate and active connection. Players have been reporting significant improvement to their gameplay experience.
Check out the video below for a good explanation oh how the update will effect your gameplay.
