Battlefield Hardline Dev Want ‘Parity’ Between Platforms, Targeting 1080/60p For Xbox One

About a month ago, we heard rumors about a new Battlefield games which will be coming out this year. We heard that the game was not being developed by DICE which was surprising because up til now, DICE has developed every single Battlefield title that has ever come out. This new Battlefield games was going to be called Battlefield Hardline instead of Battlefield 5. Visceral_Games

We found images and info about this new Battlefield game in the code files on the Battlelog website. The images revealed the developer of the game will be non other than Visceral Games, who are well known for their Dead Space series. The upcoming Battlefield game is different from other Battlefield games as it has more of a Cops and Robbers theme to it instead of the traditional military/war theme. FPS and Resolution is all that next-gen gamers talk about nowadays and same was the case with Battlefield Hardline. Every fan asked about the game’s fps and resolution on the console versions of the game and developers responded by saying that Battlefield Hardline will run at 1080p and at 60fps for the PlayStation 4. But something which was left unanswered was that, what resolution and fps does the Xbox One version run at.

In an interview with GamingBolt, Visceral Games’ Creative Director, Ian Milham said: “If you look at the games that Visceral Games has made before, we have always strive for total parity between our platforms,” Ian explained. “Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together.” This will put the Xbox One players’ minds to ease. Both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield Hardline should run at 60fps and 1080p.

If you want to give Battlefield Hardline a try before its release, you can download the Battlefield Hardline Beta and out run the cops or take down the thieves. Battlefield Hardline comes out on the 21th of October, 2014 and it will be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
