Bayonetta Creator Hideki Kamiya Might Be Hinting At Collaboration With Capcom

Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya previously worked at Capcom. Most of the senior Platinum Games staff is from Clover Studios that was a subsidiary of Capcom. A recent picture of Kamiya hints that they might be back to working together.

Kamiya has been vocal in the past about Capcom although he still respected them. There has been no collaboration between Platinum Games or Capcom, even though they both could benefit greatly from it. Kamiya was last seen working on Scalebound which was canceled by Microsft. Since then, his new project remains a mystery.

Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry and Okami are all the projects that Kamiya has worked on with Capcom in the past. He was also the lead director of Resident Evil 2. Capcom has recently released a remaster of Okami, so are they finally open to bringing the series back with Kamiya back in the director’s chair? Perhaps, they want to make another Viewtiful Joe? It is too early to say anything, so this is all mere speculation.

What do you want to see with Kamiya and Capcom working together? A new game, IP, or Devil May Cry and Bayonetta collaboration? Let us know in the comments below.
