In an interview with IGN, Bethesda’s Vice President of marketing and Public Relations, Pete Hines, announced that the company was working on two new upcoming titles, adopting a massive open-world comparable to those of Skyrim and Fallout. When asked whether fans would be getting an Elder Scrolls 6, he responded saying the gamers will have to wait for ‘many years’. Bethesda is working on it, we’ll just have to wait it out, since the two IPs are going to take priority.
This news materialised on the basis of Todd Howard’s, the studio head, claims that Bethesda was indeed working on two new projects. Hines further elaborated on the scale of those undertakings by stating:
“he (Todd Howard) said for sure that he’s got two other projects. I’m just making sure folks understand, like, that doesn’t mean he’s going to spit out a DLC and another DLC and we’re head faking. Like, I need folks to understand that we’re talking about big games like a Skyrim and a Fallout 4 and a Fallout 3 and those don’t just happen.”
Its an exciting prospect, since many fans who’ve been accustomed to the Elder Scrolls’ and Fallout games will be introduced to two entirely new worlds, with scopes as large as their predecessors.
