The in-engine showcase of the world of Dishonored 2 can be seen in the video below.

The in-engine demo focused on worldbuilding and exploration. Bethesda wants every market and every alley featured in the game to tell its own story, and for the player to piece it together. The world is rich with several NPCs following their own AI routines, with the aim of creating a living breathing world. The game is rendered in the Void engine, which is designed to enhance the atmospheric experience from the last game.

Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the first game. Both of the game’s protagonists are fully voiced this time around, and will go through the story from their own individual perspective.

The first game is known for its unscripted game design, and the sequel aims to take this to the next level. With a number of supernatural abilities and multiple skill trees to explore, players will have a wide array of options to choose from and different routes to take in order to progress through the game.

The game’s official E3 2016 trailer can be seen below.
