Series creator Michel Ancel has revealed that Ubisoft is working on releasing a demo for Beyond Good and Evil 2 before “end of next year”.
Showing for the game was in full force this E3 with the game getting a brilliant CGI trailer (check it out below), which looked like a movie I’d want to watch, as well as a 30 minute behind closed doors demo shown to journalists.
Ancel announced the Beta on his Instagram:
We aim for a playable beta for the end of next year,
This led to us think if the demo will release in the end of 2019, the game will most likely release in 2020 if there are no problems with development. Do you think you can wait that long?
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a prequel to the original and has been in a start-stop development for quite a while. The original came out in 2003, that would make it 17 years for the next iteration to release if Beyond Good and Evil 2 does come out in 2020.
No platforms have been announced for Beyond Good and Evil 2 but expect it to release on PS4 and Xbox One at the very least, PC too considering Ubisoft’s release history.
