Call of Duty Black Ops 3 developers Treyarch are changing things up with their newest game by making changes to long time game modes like Domination. The Domination game mode in Black Ops 3 will not have a time limit according to a new tweet by the game’s Design Director David Vonderhaar.
Vonderhaar explained that in Black Ops 3 Domination will end when the match reaches 200 points with the game changing sides when the score hits 100 points.
@ryanr1122 @InceptionWWE That was a typo. It doesn’t have a time limit. A horrible, horrible, typo.

Treyarch has been active in making tweaks to gamemodes ever since they got their hands on the series. They changed Domination previously in Black Ops 2 by introducing rounds where players change sides halfway through the match to ensure neither side has the locational edge. In Black Ops 3 most of the format will be the same but the old 10 minute timer will be no more.
Vonderhaar and his team have been teasing the change from back in November last year and it looks like their testing allowed the change.
Playtested Domination with no time-limit, round switch whenever it hits 100 first, and a win at 200. +

I didn’t think I would like it, but it eliminates some of the strangeness with “mathematical elimination” and the games still go fast.
