Black Ops 3 Scorestreaks mistakenly showing up in Black Ops 4 Beta

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Beta is on-going right now on PS4, PC and Xbox One. A week ago PS4 fans had their own exclusive Beta.

Now for a Beta we must expect numerous bugs and glitches, but according to numerous fans playing the Beta they are being shown a certain Black Ops 3 Scorestreak in Black Ops 4.

Apparently when you receive the Mantis Scorestreak in Black Ops 4 through a care package, it’ll show up as the Cerberus. The Scorestreak will function normally as the Mantis but it’ll show up as Cerberus when receiving it. The Cerberus is of course a Scorestreak from developer Treyarch’s previous game – Black Ops 3.

The Scorestreaks are also very similar in function and are in the same score range to get, 900 for the Cerberus and 950 for the Mantis. What’s more funny is that both of these aforementioned streaks are based on the AGR from Black Ops 2.

There are multiple to theories to why this happened with the most popular blaming Treyarch for copy pasting. Others suggest that the developer could possibly not have the ample development time needed when they scrapped their rumored previously-in-development FPS inspired by Overwatch. A more plausible theory is that Treyarch were looking to use Cerberus in the new game and changed their decision at the last minute.
