COD Black Ops 4 Achieves 3x More Viewers Than Fortnite On Twitch For Launch Day

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was already a juggernaut before launch with more than 100K viewers on Twitch, but on its launch day, the game has diverted attention from Fortnite and it is currently getting 3x the viewers of Fortnite.

Fortnite was the defacto Battle Royale game for a long time, but perhaps it is time a competitor stepped up. Activision announced the Blackout Battle Royale mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 earlier this year which was met with some skepticism, however, it has turned out to be the best new addition for a Call of Duty game this generation.

Normally when a new game launches, it gains a lot of attention and there are plenty of gamers on Twitch that stream it for launch day. Black Ops 4 is no exception here, however, it seems to have a negative effect on Fortnite where the viewer count has dropped significantly while Black Ops 4 is enjoying almost 3x the viewers compared to Fortnite.

This is not even the peak of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and it is likely that the number will go higher as more people get their hands on the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out today for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
