Activision Blizzard is working on not just the dreaded Diablo Immortal mobile game, and the mainline Diablo 4 that has been rumored, but there are more Diablo projects in the works.
This was shared officially by Activision Blizzard on the official Battle.net forums for Diablo. Here is their official statement in this matter, which also confirms a tease in the coming year, presumably 2019.
We continue to read feedback and our internal discussions are ongoing. We have many plans for Diablo across multiple projects which we’ll be revealing over the course of the coming year. We are eager to share more about all of our projects, but some will have to wait as we prefer to show you, rather than tell you, about them. It’s going to take some time as we strive to meet your expectations, but now, more than ever, we are committed to delivering Diablo experiences the community can be proud of.
– The Diablo Teams –
It has already been speculated that Activision Blizzard has a mainline Diablo game in the works that will likely end up being Diablo 4, but this new tease shows that there might be more than one unannounced project in the works at Activision Blizzard.
Diablo 3 launched back in 2012 so it has been quite a while before a new game in the series was released. Hopefully, fans can get their hands on the next mainline game in due time.
