Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Day 1 Update Size Revealed, Required For “Security And Stability”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is one of the hottest game to launch next month. If you have already pre-ordered the game digitally on your PS4, you should be able to start the pre-load ahead of the launch on November 6th. The pre-load will require 12 GB of download in the start and then the full game will be downloaded in the background.

As it is the norm with most games these days, Black Ops 3 also has a day 1 patch that is required before users can play the game. We can confirm that this new patch is approximately 2.5 GB in size and while it is essential for playing the game on day 1, the changelog doesn’t reveal much. It only states that this patch, which updates the game to version 1.01, is for “security and stability fixes” while offering nothing else in detail.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is being developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It is also the first game in the series to feature PlayStation exclusivity deal meaning those who own the game on Xbox One or PC will have to wait a while until they can get their hands on future DLC content.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be released on November 6th, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. While it hasn’t been released officially, some of the stores have broken their street date and the game is already out in the wild.
