Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Descent DLC Coming to PS4 On July 12

The latest DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, named Descent, is set to release on July 12th first for the PlayStation 4 with a release for the Xbox one and PC to follow soon.

The DLC includes four new multiplayer maps, namely Cryogen, Empire, Rumble, and Berserk. It also includes an “All-New Zombies Experience” which is set to continue the zombie storyline with the Gorod Krovi (City of Blood) chapter. The trailer shows an alternate Russian setting featuring new enemies including mechanized zombies, flying robots and even dragons. Not wall mounted dragons like the ones previously present in the game, real ones this time. At one point in the trailer it also shows a character wielding what appears to be a shield made of bones, this is no doubt one of the new items set to appear in the zombies mode.

The Descent DLC pack will cost $15 and is free for those who purchased the season pass. Pre-ordering the Descent DLC will also net PS4 users an exclusive zombies dynamic system theme.

This is the third of the 4 DLC packs released by Treyarch for Black Ops 3. The first was Awakening, which was released on February 2nd and added 4 new maps as well as the first chapter of the zombie DLC named Der Eisendrache. The second was Eclipse, which was released on April 19th and also contained 4 new multiplayer maps as well as the second chapter in the zombie storyline called Zetsubou No Shima. The fourth and final piece of DLC has yet to be announced but will most likely also contain 4 new maps and the conclusion to the zombie saga.
