Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will have Theater mode

Great news for Call of Duty fans who were disappointed with the absence of Theater mode in the last two Call of Dutys as the mode has been confirmed for Black Ops 3. Theater mode for Black Ops 3 was confirmed in #TheRace livestream on Twitch with guests Mark Lamia and David Vonderhaar from Treyarch.

It has been a long time since we’ve seen a Theater mode in Call of Duty, in fact the last game to have Theater mode was Treyarch’s Black Ops 2. It’s great that instead of taking out features, Treyarch are putting fan favourites back in.

For those not aware Call of Duty’s Theater Mode allowed players to record videos of their matches, edit them and share them with their friends. With Black Ops 2 it even allowed players to upload directly to YouTube and stream on Twitch from their consoles. Most features from Theater Mode came built with the PS4 and Xbox One, but Treyarch probably has something up their sleeve to make us use their editor instead of the console’s.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 releases for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 6. The game also comes with a Beta, release information can be found here.

What do you think about the return of the mode? Let us know in the comments below.
