Call of Duty is one of the most popular series and despite the series getting new game each year, there are lot of dedicated fans that still play the old games in the series. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the highest grossing Call of Duty game, and also one of the most popular one. It was released on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3 and set new record for the series. The game is fondly remembered by a lot of fans.

Xbox One has backwards compatibility available for select Xbox 360 games and Microsoft is actively working on adding more games to the backwards compatibility list every week. While we have no idea which game might get added to backwards compatibility, there have been leaks in the past that hints at the potential games that will be added to the list soon. One of these games appear to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which was spotted on the new backwards compatibility store on the Xbox One. reddit user insidegaming managed to take a screenshot of this mistake before it was fixed. Check it out below.

It might possibly hint at the game being added to Xbox One backwards compatibility soon. Along with Modern Warfare 2, we also have Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar Games, that was leaked through similar means and was actually playable on the Xbox One before quickly being taken down. Hopefully both of these games can be officially released soon so that Xbox One users can enjoy these classics.
