Every year, fans get a chance to play a brand new Call of Duty game. The development of the super popular FPS game cycles between Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward.
To celebrate the ten year anniversary of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, alongside their latest Call of Duty game, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The remastered version of one of the most popular Call of Duty games was greatly anticipated by players who played the game 10 years ago when it came out in 2006.
The remastered version is a perfect copy of the old FPS, however, it has a few new additions. In the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, players who dedicated their time to the game were rewarded with a golden Desert Eagle when they hit level 55, which is the highest level a player can achieve in the game.
Infinity Ward has followed a similar path and has given fans something to look forward to, once they hit level 55. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, when a player hits level 55, they are rewarded with a new sidearm. This sidearm is known as the Commander Desert Eagle. The Commander Desert Eagle is made of gold and platinum, and is completely similar to the regular Desert Eagle in terms of stats.
Unfortunately, like the Golden Desert Eagle from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the Commander Desert Eagle is no longer available once you prestige. You can choose to permanently unlock the Commander Desert Eagle by using one of your prestige tokens, however, in the early prestiges, it would be better to unlock a useful perk or a weapon that you like, instead of the fancy sidearm.
Infinity Ward also introduced a new camo in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Players can now unlock the brand new Regal camo for their guns. Click here for a guide on how to unlock the Regal camo in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is now available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
