Call of Duty: World at War is a cult classic entry in the popular first person shooter series. World at War is usually considered the second best game in the series after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and now thanks to Xbox One backwards compatibility feature, you can play this classic on your Xbox One.
Major Nelson has confirmed on his official Twitter account that Call of Duty: World at War is now playable on the Xbox One through backwards compatibility. In addition to Call of Duty, he also listed 3 more games that appear to have been playable on the Xbox One starting today.
The following games will be playable on the Xbox One after today’s backwards compatibility update.
- E4
- EnclevermentExperiment
- FunTown Mahjong
- Call of Duty: World at War
Despite Call of Duty: Black Ops being available on the Xbox One backwards compatibility, there is no announcement about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Hopefully Microsoft can continue to add more of the cult classics to the backwards compatibility list including some fan favorites like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, which are still Xbox One exclusives.
