Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Is Now Backwards Compatible On The Xbox One

Microsoft has finally released the long awaited backwards compatible game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, for Xbox One. This was one of the most requested game from fans of the series and it was also the top voted one on the backwards compatibility list.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 can be finally played on the Xbox One through backwards compatibility which means if you own an Xbox 360 just to play Black Ops 2, it is time to finally ditch it and move on to Xbox One.

How To Play Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 On Xbox One Using Backwards Compatibility

Xbox One backwards compatibility works in a great way that it never makes your purchase the game again just to play it on the Xbox One. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 can also be similarly played on the Xbox One if you meet the following criteria.

  1. You own a digital copy of the game from Xbox Live Store. If you bought it in the past on the Xbox 360, it will carry over to the Xbox One.
  2. You own a retail copy of the game on the Xbox 360. In this, you will have to insert the disc on the Xbox One console in order to get the game registered there and then you can play it there.

The backwards compatibility program launched with around 100 games and has grown considerably ever since with several hundred more games now added to the list.
