Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Update Version 1.02 Is Out, Servers Still Offline

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be out on October 12th, but there are some early copies already out in the wild resulting in potential leaks for the game.

In case you aren’t keeping up with the news, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 currently doesn’t work because the servers for the game are not live yet, so those who buy it now have to wait for a day one update for the game. This update has supposedly gone live today.

The size of the update depends on factors like a digital or physical copy. Activision has listed the download size on the official FAQ for Black Ops 4 stating that “the day one update package is roughly 50 GB.” Earlier reports point towards the update size varying from 2 to 12 GB so it has yet to be confirmed. The download size of the game is roughly 42 to 48 GB.

As for the servers, one of the users who managed to share an early screenshot of it revealed that the servers were still not accessible despite the update, although he could check out some of the game offline. His account was suspended so there is not much to go on regarding the game here.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will launch on October 12th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is being developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.
