Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Will Support Cross-Play Across PC and Consoles

Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare today and it is out this October. They have also revealed some details on the cross-play support for PC and consoles.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a reimaging of the Modern Warfare series by Infinity Ward. The biggest news that most people will miss regarding this new Call of Duty is that it will support cross-play across PC and consoles. This means users on any platform will be able to play the game together.

Creative Director and Studio Head of Infinity Ward, Patrick Kelly confirmed the cross-play saying “with the launch of Modern Warfare, we’re taking steps to unite the community. First, we plan for Modern Warfare to be played together across PC and console through cross-play support.”

This will also be the first Call of Duty game to ditch season pass so that the developers can “deliver more free maps and content as well as post-launch events to all players.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be out on October 25, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
