Kingdom Hearts III is the latest in the series and may are wondering if you can fight Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts III like you could in the first two.
Sephiroth is the fan-favorite optional super-boss from Final Fantasy VII that is considered by many to be the toughest challenge in the Kingdom Hearts games. His inclusion or exclusion is a matter of concern to many.
Although Kingdom Hearts III adds a ton of new content and systems never before seen in the series, many things are removed as well to create balance and for other various reasons. So its natural for fans to wondering if Sephiroth is in Kingdom Hearts III.
The answer to this is simple but can be considered a spoiler to some so you may want to stop reading if you’re trying to avoid spoilers.
Still reading? Well that’s great but the news isn’t good. You cannot fight Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts unfortunately, just because of one simple reason, he does not exist in the game. Its not just Sephiroth though, there are no Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts III.
When I found this out I was really disappointed as the Final Fantasy characters were what got me into the series. They were considered integral to the series by many but unfortunately don’t make an appearance in the finale to the Xehanort Saga.
The only references to Final Fantasy left are the Moogles, who luckily didn’t make the cut.
There’s other challenges to replace Kingdom Hearts III to replace Sephiroth but depending on your way on thinking, may not be a suitable replacement.
