Capcom has shared a cryptic tweet today that might be possibly related to the change of logo on social media, and perhaps point towards an announcement for the series. This is the year when Resident Evil 2 will turn 20 years old and with the teases pointing towards an announcement for Resident Evil 2 Remake, perhaps we might be looking at a reveal soon.
The new tweet is from the Research and Development Division 1 at Capcom. The tweet states that the team is currently in USA while showing two semi-hidden objects. One is the finger from the infamous Resident Evil 7 demo that was released after E3 2016, and the other is a typewriter that can be used in Resident Evil games to save your data. This tweet doesn’t really mention any game announcement but coinciding with the logo change, it is entirely possible that Capcom is gearing up for a reveal for Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Good morning, everyone! (from the U.S.) Hope you all have a good day!:) pic.twitter.com/g8OQ94ju2D

Resident Evil 2 Remake was announced back in 2015 and has been since put in the background for a long time, until the release of Resident Evil 7. It was later stated by Capcom that they might be able to share more information on the Remake soon, and as the new year started, there are some subtle teases in this regard. This year also marks the 20th anniversary for Resident Evil 2, which was out back in 1998. The game was directed by Hideki Kamiya and developed under the supervision of Shinji Mikami.
