Check Out Some Brand New Test Footage For Psychonauts 2

Development on Psychonauts 2 is progressing steadily, and now developer Double Fine Productions has released a brand new video providing backers with new updates, as well as some brand new test footage from the game.

The video titled Psychonauts 2 Art Test w/ Tim and Zak opens with director Tim Schafer explaining that the crowdfunding platform Fig, on which the game was funded, has been approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission. What this means is that the platform can now collect the investments that had been pledged for the game during the initial croundfunding campaign. Those who didn’t initially invest in the campaign, can still do so here.

Zak McClendon, designer for Psychonauts 2, then walks us through the camp from the first game, which has now been completely remade using Unreal Engine 4. He explains that all the assets in the camp have been completely remade, and the only purpose this remake serves is to get a better understanding of what the final game could look like.

We also get a brief look at some of the new powers for Raz, such as an upgraded version of telekinesis, the ability to make multiple psychic projections of himself, and even a new ranged attack currently named PSI-Knives.
