It seems like the lovable Clementine will be back in the second season of Telltale’s, The Walking Dead.
At the San Diego Comic Con, Telltale said that Clementine will “definitely be a part of” season 2. A teaser image was shown which had Clementine sitting with an unknown child. Whether or not Clementine will have a lead role remains to be seen. It was also confirmed that Kenny’s ultimate fate will be explored.
TellTale president Kevin Bruner also told the press that the players’ choices from the original game and (surprisingly) the 400 Days DLC will be imported into season 2.
Series creator Robert Kirkman, who was also present there, said that he was in discussions with the developer to figure out whether or not cameos of the comic book characters would make sense in the second season. He also shed some more light onto the development of season 1, revealing that Telltale had considered adding an extra option in the conversation between Lee and Clementine right before the game ends. This option, “I love you”, was not added because it would divert the player’s attention from the other choices. Seeing how emotionally captivating the game was, I doubt anyone would have chosen another option if this particular one was added.
The Walking Dead Season 2 is expected early Fall this year. Season 1 is available on iOS, Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, Vita and Xbox 360.
