Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski has commented on the upcoming sequel to Gears of War 3 by the newly established The Coalition studio. This studio is being headed by Rod Fergusson, who is a former Gears of War series veteran, having worked on the series with Cliff Bleszinski.
While Gears of War is now owned by Microsoft, the game was formerly developed by Epic Games, who are famous for their proprietary Unreal Engine. Cliff Bleszinski has also departed from Epic Games and left Gear of War series behind to form his own studio called Boss Key Studios. He is currently working on his brand new game “Lawbreakers”, which is being developed on Unreal Engine 4.
Recently, Cliff Bleszinski had a chance to talk with one of his friend who is currently working on Gears of War 4 as a writer. According to Cliff Bleszinski, the next game will please everyone, which might be encouraging to hear considering it is coming from the creator of the series.
Just got off the phone with a friend who is doing some writing on the next Gears game. Sounds like we will all be very pleased with it. 🙂

He also gave shoutout to his former colleague Rod Fergusson saying that he is rooting for the development studio and him to deliver on the next Gears of War.
People forget that I'm rooting for @GearsViking and The Coalition to pull this off. 🙂
