Sony has confirmed to Kotaku that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLCs will be available exclusively for PlayStation consoles in the first 30 days and will be released to other platforms afterwards. This deal is quite similar to the old deal between Activision and Microsoft, which offered similar timed DLCs for the Xbox consoles.
Sony had earlier revealed Black Ops III multiplayer at their E3 2015 conference and also confirmed that any new DLC will be released on PlayStation first and other platforms later. They have now revealed the timing of the exclusivity so if you are an Xbox or PC player, you will have to wait 30 days before you can play the new DLC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is being developed by Treyarch and is set for a release in November this year. It is the sequel to Black Ops 2, which is perhaps the most popular game in the Call of Duty series after Modern Warfare. The series sales started to decline with Call of Duty: Ghosts and Advanced Warfare forcing Activision to go back to the drawing board with Black Ops 3.
