Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will get a private multiplayer beta test that is scheduled to launch on August 3rd. This beta test is available exclusively for the PS4 first and will launch one week later for the PC and Xbox One. It is now possible to pre-load the beta test ahead of its launch on August 3rd if you have a valid redeem code for it.
Despite the fact that this is a private multiplayer beta test, which is only available to those who have placed a pre-order for the game, it was apparently listed in the Free section on the PlayStation Store, likely as a mistake that was quickly removed.
The download size of the multiplayer beta is also hinted at with early reports stating that it depends on the region. The download size can range from 20 GB to upwards of 30 GB and above, and the final size might be confirmed when the beta officially starts on August 3rd.

There is also a video of the beta test booting up by a user who claims that he was able to start it briefly after the beta was available to pre-load on the PS4.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available on October 12th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
