Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is finally getting information out of the way ahead of the E3 2018 event. Activision has confirmed details about the game’s lack of single player mode, increased focus on multiplayer and introduced a new Blackout map that is basically Battle Royale mode for Call of Duty.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will also make it the first time the series is getting an exclusive launch on Battle.Net. This happened with Destiny 2 on PC as well and Black Ops 4 seems to follow the same pattern with the PC port being handled by Beenox.
Battle.Net is owned by Activision Blizzard and it features most of their major IPs including Overwatch, Destiny and World of Warcraft. The confirmation regarding the Battle.Net exclusivity was seen in the behind the scenes video of the development of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 PC version by Beenox.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available at launch for $59.99, which is the price for the standard edition of the game. Those who pre-order it on PC will be able to get an early access to a private beta before the official launch.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available on October 12th for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It is currently being developed by Treyarch Studio and will be published by Activision Blizzard.
