Almost 3 years after the release of Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas, Finnish developer Cornfox & Bros. have now announced a sequel titled Oceanhorn 2: Knights Of The Lost Realm.
Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is set in a different time period in the Oceanhorn timeline, and features a new hero, a boy who has trained to become one of the Knights of Arcadia. The game will feature some of the same returning elements from the first game such as a detailed backstory, a vibrant and colorful game world, catchy music and a combination of RPG game mechanics such as puzzles and boss fights.
The game will be played from a third person perspective and will feature a combat system with a combination of swordplay, spells and creative use of items.
One of the newer key items this time around is the Caster, a magical gun-like weapon that allows the wielder to fire powerful magical projectiles at their enemies. It will not only be used for combat, but will also have uses such as solving puzzles and luring enemies.
The developer will reveal further information about the game in the upcoming months. The first game, Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas, is also set for a release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 7th September 2016.
