Crackdown 3 was recently revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2017 Press Conference but the trailer focused on the single player campaign for the game which surprised some fans because the initial reveal was all about destruction using Microsoft Cloud technology. The official press release by Microsoft has confirmed that the Cloud technology is still there for the multiplayer while the game will also have a single player campaign allowing up to 4 players.
Starring Terry Crews as Commander Jaxon, “Crackdown 3” brings the boom with its worldwide campaign gameplay reveal, where players will stop crime as a superpowered Agent in a sandbox of mayhem and destruction. Developed by Microsoft Studios in collaboration with Sumo Digital and Reagent Games, “Crackdown 3” delivers four-person campaign co-op, as well as an all-new multiplayer mode2 where destruction is your ultimate weapon, powered by the Microsoft Cloud. Available worldwide on Nov. 7 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title alongside the launch of Xbox One X.
The E3 2017 trailer only focused on the SP campaign as confirmed by the official Twitter account. The developers will show more information regarding the game’s multiplayer in the coming week.
Multiplayer is going to be shown at a later date. Our focus this week is all about the campaign experience.

That's a great way to look at it, yes. In this case, MP doesn't mean co-op. Think of campaign vs. MP.

For those asking…. Destruction is still part of Crackdown 3 Multiplayer. Today you saw campaign, for the 1st time ever. More on MP soon!!
