Crackdown 3 Will Run In ‘True 4K’ With 30 FPS On Xbox One X

Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3 has finally been revealed for the Xbox One and Windows 10. The game features a full story campaign offering 4 player co-op as well as multiplayer that is full of destruction powered by the Microsoft Cloud. The developer of Crackdown 3 was recently interviewed by Geoff Keighley for YouTube Live.

Crackdown 3 will feature a huge open world but just how big is the city in the game compared to the original Crackdown? According to the design director, Clint Bundrick, the city featured in Crackdown 3 is twice as large as the city in the original Crackdown. The game will also run at ‘true 4K’ on the Xbox One with 30 FPS. The frame rate for the original Xbox One is also 30 FPS while the resolution wasn’t revealed for it.

Crackdown 3 is being developed with 4K in mind and features a great draw distance. The developers are also implementing Dolby Atmos support for the game for those who have the necessary setup. Despite Sumo Digtial’s involvement in the development of the game, the original creator is still working  on this sequel.

Crackdown 3 is set to release on November 7th for the Xbox One and Windows 10. It is cross-buy between both platforms as part of the Play Anywhere initiative.
