Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Nintendo Switch vs. PS4 Shows Downgraded Lighting

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was recently announced for the Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on a variety of different platforms now including the Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch after launching as a PS4 Console Exclusive last year. Considering the difference between the specs for the Nintendo Switch and PS4, the visuals for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy are expected to take a hit, but now we have an early look at what to expect from the Nintendo Switch version.

The comparison GIF below demonstrates the difference between both platforms. While the resolution might be lower, there are some other curious tweaks as well. For example, the lighting seems to have been changed to a completely different implementation now. It looks a bit flat compared to the colorful look from the original PS4 release.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will launch on July 10 for the PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It is already available to play on the PS4 after launching earlier last year. The game has been remade from the ground up for the current generation platforms after originally releasing for the PlayStation 1.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is developed by Vicrious Visions and published by Activision. It features the first 3 games in the Crash Bandicoot series.
