Crash Team Racing, short for CTR, is a fan favorite kart racing game from Naughty Dog. It follows the Crash Bandicoot trilogy that was released for the PS1 and featured the cast of Crash Bandicoot. The game was praised because of its story mode, level design and gameplay mechanics and proved to be a direct competitor to Nintendo’s Mario Kart series.
Crash Bandicoot is getting properly remade for the PS4 with the upcoming Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy but what about Crash Team Racing? According to Vicarious Vision’s producer Kara Massie, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy won’t be the only game that could be remastered for the PS4.
In an interview with GameRant, Kara Massie talked about the demands for fans for other potential Crash Bandicoot games that can be remastered and she stated that the top request from the fans is for Crash Team Racing.
While Kara Massie didn’t confirm that they could remaster another game in the series, she did state that she would love to work on another Crash Bandicoot game if given the chance. Of course, it also depends on the sales of this upcoming remaster and the interest by fans so a remaster for Crash Team Racing is not set in stone, still as a game that I spent a considerable amount of my time, it would be great if Crash Team Racing is the next remaster from Activision.
